Sunday began with Shacharis and breakfast before we headed to Ir David. The Bochurim learned about the history of Yerushalayim and how Dovid Hamelech made it the capital. We toured the archaeological site where his palace once stood and walked through the water tunnels built by Chizkiyahu.
After lunch, we traveled south to Sderot. We visited the site of the Sderot police station, which was taken over by Hamas terrorists on October 7th, and then visited Chabad of Sderot to learn about their work in the city before, during, and after October 7th.
From there, we stopped at a viewpoint overlooking Gaza before visiting the Nova Festival site. The Bochurim saw the car cemetery, where many of the vehicles destroyed on October 7th are kept, and then visited the festival grounds, where they learned Mishnayos and heard Divrei Chizuk in memory of the holy neshamos who were killed al Kiddush Hashem on October 7th.
We ended the day at Kever Rochel, where the Bochurim had the opportunity to daven before making our way back to yeshiva.
